Kwara MURIC Seeks Justice for Lawal Yetunde Hafsoh's Murder

The Kwara State Chapter of the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has condemned the brutal murder of Lawal Yetunde Hafsah, a young girl who was gruesomely killed in Ilorin, Kwara State. MURIC described the act as "gruesome and barbaric" and called on the Kwara State Government and the Nigeria Police Force to ensure that justice is served.
The group urged the authorities to conduct a thorough investigation to uncover all those involved in the heinous crime, including any accomplices or criminal networks.

They emphasized the need for professionalism in handling the case and cautioned against sharing sensitive evidence with the public, which could jeopardize the investigation.
MURIC also reaffirmed its commitment to justice, peace, and human dignity, calling on the government to take decisive action against ritual killings and human trafficking.

They extended condolences to the victim's family and urged religious leaders, traditional rulers, and community stakeholders to join forces against such evil acts.
The police have reportedly arrested a suspect, a 29-year-old Islamic cleric, in connection with the murder.
