During his presidency, he claimed no wars in the Middle East, Europe, Asia, inflation, or Afghanistan catastrophe, while Iran's state TV claimed 80% of missiles hit their targets.

Dawah / Role of Islamic Organizations ...
Last post by Suyuti - Sep 27, 2024, 11:48 PM
Islamic organizations play a vital role in promoting peace by advocating for social harmony, justice, and conflict resolution. Rooted in the teachings of Islam, these organizations aim to foster understanding and cooperation among communities while addressing societal issues.

The Quran and Hadith emphasize peace as a core value, encouraging Muslims to work towards establishing harmony in both personal and communal life.

Allah says in the Quran:
"يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ادْخُلُوا فِي السِّلْمِ كَافَّةً وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا خُطُوَاتِ الشَّيْطَانِ إِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ"
"O you who have believed, enter into peace completely [and perfectly] and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy." (Quran 2:208)

This verse calls upon believers to embrace peace in all aspects of life. Islamic organizations echo this message by actively participating in peace-building initiatives, promoting dialogue, and addressing social injustices.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also highlighted the importance of peace, saying:
"الْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ النَّاسُ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ"
"A Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand people are safe."
(Sahih al-Bukhari)

This Hadith underlines the concept of non-violence and the responsibility of Muslims to ensure the safety and well-being of others. Islamic organizations embody this principle by working to reduce conflicts and offer humanitarian aid to those affected by violence.

Short Islamic Story: The Treaty of Hudaybiyyah
The Treaty of Hudaybiyyah is a powerful example of how Islam encourages peace and diplomacy. When the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his companions were denied entry to Makkah, they chose to negotiate with the Quraysh instead of engaging in conflict. The result was a ten-year peace agreement, known as the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, which allowed for peaceful coexistence and the spread of Islam without bloodshed.

Lessons from the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah:
Patience and Diplomacy: Instead of resorting to violence, the Prophet (PBUH) opted for dialogue and negotiation, highlighting the importance of patience and diplomacy in resolving conflicts.

Long-term Vision for Peace: The treaty, although seemingly unfavorable at first, paved the way for greater understanding and the eventual peaceful conquest of Makkah, teaching us the value of long-term peace strategies.

Allah also reminds us of the virtues of peace:
"وَالصُّلْحُ خَيْرٌ"
"Reconciliation is best." (Quran 4:128)

And the Prophet (PBUH) said:
"خير الناس أنفعهم للناس"
"The best of people are those who are most beneficial to others."
(Al-Mu'jam al-Awsat)

Through their efforts in promoting peace, Islamic organizations fulfill these teachings by acting as mediators, providing aid, and advocating for justice and equality, contributing to global peace and harmony.

Dawah / Islamic Teachings on Social Re...
Last post by Suyuti - Sep 27, 2024, 11:42 PM
Islam places significant emphasis on social responsibility, encouraging individuals to contribute positively to the welfare of their communities. The teachings of Islam highlight the importance of helping others, being just, and creating a society based on compassion and mutual support. Social responsibility in Islam extends to all aspects of life, from personal relationships to societal obligations.

One of the central teachings in the Quran about social responsibility is found in the following verse:

"وَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَىٰ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ"
"And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty." (Quran 5:2)

This verse encourages Muslims to work together for the betterment of society and to avoid actions that harm others. It emphasizes that social responsibility involves not only helping others but also refraining from contributing to wrongdoing.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also emphasized social responsibility. He said:

"مَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي تَوَادِّهِمْ وَتَرَاحُمِهِمْ وَتَعَاطُفِهِمْ كَمَثَلِ الْجَسَدِ إِذَا اشْتَكَىٰ مِنْهُ عُضْوٌ تَدَاعَىٰ لَهُ سَائِرُ الْجَسَدِ بِالسَّهَرِ وَالْحُمَّىٰ"
"The believers, in their mutual kindness, compassion, and sympathy, are just like one body; when one part of the body suffers, the whole body responds with wakefulness and fever."
(Sahih al-Bukhari)

This Hadith illustrates the idea that the well-being of one person affects the whole community. Therefore, it is the duty of every Muslim to help those in need and support the vulnerable.

Another verse from the Quran emphasizes charity and kindness:

"لَن تَنَالُوا الْبِرَّ حَتَّىٰ تُنفِقُوا مِمَّا تُحِبُّونَ ۚ وَمَا تُنفِقُوا مِن شَيْءٍ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ بِهِ عَلِيمٌ"
"Never will you attain the good [reward] until you spend [in the way of Allah] from that which you love. And whatever you spend – indeed, Allah is Knowing of it." (Quran 3:92)

This encourages Muslims to be charitable, even if it means giving up things that they value, emphasizing selflessness as an important aspect of social responsibility.

A Short Story of Umar ibn Al-Khattab
During the caliphate of Umar ibn Al-Khattab (RA), he would often roam the streets at night to see if anyone in the community was in need. One night, he came across a woman who was cooking stones in a pot to soothe her hungry children, making them believe that food was on the way. Umar immediately returned to the treasury, gathered food, and personally delivered it to the woman's home, staying until the children were fed. His action is a powerful example of the Islamic value of taking personal responsibility for the welfare of others.

Two Lessons from Islamic Teachings on Social Responsibility:
Compassion and Empathy: Islam teaches that true believers are those who feel the pain of others. Social responsibility is about being sensitive to the needs of those around us and taking steps to alleviate their suffering.

Charity and Generosity: Helping others through charity and acts of kindness is a key principle in Islam. Giving in the way of Allah is not just encouraged, but a requirement for a socially responsible Muslim.

Through these teachings, Islam builds a society grounded in mutual respect, compassion, and responsibility toward others.
