Israeli military struck Hezbollah's central headquarters in Beirut, causing massive explosions and smoke clouds, marking the largest blasts in the Lebanese capital in a year.

Israeli TV channels have reported that Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah may have been targeted in the recent strikes in Beirut's southern suburbs. The attacks have raised concerns about the potential involvement of a senior leader. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's decision to cut short a visit to the US and continue the campaign further exacerbates the situation.

Israel announced new air strikes on Hezbollah strongholds in Lebanon, following the deadliest bombardment since 2006. The strikes targeted the main Hezbollah headquarters, causing six buildings in the Haret Hreik neighborhood of Dahiyeh to be reduced to rubble. At least 10 people were wounded, three critically, including a Syrian child, in the blasts.

The Pentagon reported no advance warning of heavy strikes in Beirut, as Israel intensified airstrikes in Lebanon to end over 11 months of Hezbollah fire. The scope of Israel's operation remains unclear, but a ground invasion is possible. At least 25 people were killed in Israeli strikes, bringing the death toll in Lebanon to over 720.
