Islam's Well-Known Singer Rukayat Gawat Has Died

Popular Nigerian Islamic singer, Rukayat Gawat Oyefeso, has passed away. She gained notoriety for her mesmerising voice and her devotional music, which many in the Muslim community found moving.

Popular preacher Alfa Aribidesi At-Tawdeeh Islamic Da'awah, who is headquartered in Ilorin, announced the news of her passing on his official Facebook page on Tuesday morning.

The news of her passing has been widely disseminated among her followers and the larger Islamic music community, who are extremely saddened by her passing.
