The Taraba State government, in partnership with the African Development Bank, has announced plans to create over 200 jobs in the Agro-Processing Zone (SAPZ) in three senatorial districts, aiming to boost food security, prevent hunger, and improve the state economy for development.

"Taraba state government decision to partner with the African Development Bank (AFDB), to establish Agro-processing zones across the three senatorial district of the state, is targeted toward creating over 2000 jobs opportunities for unemployed youths and women in the State.

The partnership aims to boost the state economy by increasing household income, fostering job creation in rural agricultural communities, and combating food insecurity. It will involve collaboration with agro-based companies like sugar, milk, and maize.

Traditional rulers praised the state government's partnership decision as wise and a step towards poverty reduction, praising governor Agbu Kefas and AFDB for their transformational idea, boosting food production and job opportunities.
